I love weekends but sometimes I don’t know what to do with myself. I always try and be as productive as possible during the week but weekends is where I let loose a little. Here are 5 of my favourite things to do on a relaxing weekend.
Get in the kitchen!
I am always searching up different recipes to try out but the ones I gravitate towards the most are drinks. I don’t mean to brag but I make a mean fruit infused water, I’ve even posted the recipe so you can enjoy my Peach Berry Cool Down any time you like! I also really love green juices! I spent quite a bit of time with a NutriBullet lately and we are going pretty steady. Another recipe should be coming soon!
With a fresh juice in hand I like to catch up on some blog reads and YouTube videos. I am obsessed with Vivianna Does Makeup, she just shared some photos of her new kitchen and now I am in love with hexagonal tiles! I sound mental but just check out her Kitchen Update and you will know what I mean. Youtuber-wise, The Michalaks are number one on my weekend watch list. They are a loving family living in London who create a 30-minute masterpiece vlog each week. They really push their creative boundaries and it is such a nice way to start off my Sundays.
Get Stuck In a Novel
When I can bother to rip myself off of my laptop I like to go old school and pick up an actual book. Yup! Those still exist! I usually take a trip to the library every couple of weeks and pick up a few new reads. Jenny Han is currently killing it for me but more on that next week!
Mentally Shop Until You Drop
I know I don’t really need to go shopping but this way I will get the experience of shopping without spending money I don’t have. It is simple. Just find your size, colour etc. Put it into your cart then, shh… this is the difficult bit. You close the web page. I know! It will be difficult but think about it this way, the next time you are about to do a bit of an online browse you will already have some goodies ready and waiting for you. Er.. it is still pretty dangerous but sometimes you need to TREAT YOURSELF!
This last one is a bit of a doozey. It is just Create Something. That is it. Draw something, take a picture, build something, write something! Create! Inspire yourself the way you want to. Pump yourself up for the week. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be materialistic! Make a goal, a memory! I often take weekends for granted but this way I never miss a beat!
